Grade 9 - Information Technology - BTT1O
Learn how to use the Microsoft Office Programs more efficiently. Students will learn how to use Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Publisher programs with ease. The knowledge gained in these courses proves valuable in later grades when producing reports and doing presentations. Students will also learn to develop a website using Dreamweaver and make fun computer animations using the Flash program.
Grade 10 - Introduction to Business - BBI2O
In Grade 10 Business students will use the computer skills gained from the BTT course in Grade 9. Students will learn about the World of Business. Units in this course will introduce topics such as Personal Finance, Marketing, Accounting and Entrepreneurship. Students may chose to study any of these topics in more detail in senior grades.
Grade 11 - Entrepreneurship/The Enterprising Person - BDP3O
In this course students will have an opportunity to further develop their business and computer skills. Topics include inventions and innovations, entrepreneurial skills, identifying business opportunities and developing creative ideas. Group work will include in-school sales and marketing competitions. Students will also create and develop a new venture plan.
