A key to success in the Extended Immersion Program is organization.

The Extended French program at Queen Mary is designed to provide non-francophone children with a high degree of proficiency in the French language.

While any exposure to a second language is beneficial, Extended French Immersion broadens and deepens that exposure. In these programs, French is not only a subject, but a language of instruction and a means of communication. In the Queen Mary French program, much of the regular school curriculum is taught in French.

Queen Mary’s students retain their own language and culture while gaining an appreciation and use of other cultures and cultural ways as well as attaining their academic goals in the program as well.
