Welcome to the French site for Garrison Road School. I'm glad to be back for another year of Francais and I hope you are all ready for some great learning, singing and acting en Francais. On the web site you'll be able to attain upcoming events in the French classroom, homework and test/quizzes dates. The program used in the DSBN is called the AIM program which teaches language acquisition through the gesture approach and plays which the children can relate to i.e. "The Three Little Pigs". The grade four students, who are completely new to French and the program will be learning The Three Little pigs in the first term. Other plays the students will be exposed to are, Comment y aller, L'arbre Ungali, Louis La Grenouille, Chat Angora
and Le Bistro Des Animaux. Remember, that parents don't need to know French in order for their children to be successful. A positive home environment and support will allow your child to benefit and succeed. My door is always open for any reason if you have any issues or questions regarding anything.
