A Mission for Teaching:
The study of history, law, and the social sciences, at whatever level, is the fundamental pursuit for knowledge and understanding of the human condition. It is a need to know the who, the what, the how and the why of our long and varied pathways of development, and perhaps the possible directions of our future. The mission and opportunity in my classroom is to engage young individuals in a process of discussion and discovery, research and assignment, that will promote wonder, questioning, critical analysis, speculation, and a thirst for learning that will inspire and motivate them for a lifetime.
